Diagnostic Healthcare is an established NHS partner providing diagnostic imaging with extensive experience of delivering in both NHS and private settings. We have established over 75 community clinics with more than 350,000 patient appointments made each year.

Diagnostic Healthcare has three types of definitions for private patients:

Access to our service

Your appointment through medical insurance

To access this service, you must have appropriate medical insurance and have authorisation from your provider for your scan.

Please have the following details to hand:
  • The name of your insurance company
  • Your policy/membership number
  • Authorisation or claim number given to you by your medical insurance provider

The team at Diagnostic Healthcare will sort out the rest, giving you peace of mind that you are in safe hands and allowing you to concentrate on your own wellbeing.

Once your booking has been made, a letter will be generated automatically with information about your scan and any preparation required.

This will be followed, where appropriate, with a reminder text message.

Once your scan is completed, your results will be sent directly to your referrer.

Your appointment through one of our third party partners

To access this service via a third party, you must have appropriate authorisation from your provider for your scan.

Your referral will be received by Diagnostic Healthcare’s patient service team who will contact you to arrange your appointment. You will be offered a selection of times and dates to suit your needs.

Once your booking has been made, a letter will be generated automatically with information about your scan and any preparation required.

This will be followed, where appropriate, with a reminder text message.

Once your scan is completed your results will be sent directly to your referrer.

Changing your appointment

We understand that circumstances change and you may have to adjust your appointment. To do this, simply call our Patient Services Team on 0161 929 5679 / 0330 058 4142 and we will be happy to help. If, for any reason, you cannot attend your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible.
