BASIC TECHNICAL ESSENTIALS:
NEUROIMAGING, CLASSROOM + HANDS-ON MRI
Setting up routine, state-of-the-art brain and spine examinations/protocols

      • 2 days of theory followed by 2 days of hands-on training on MR system (with assignments).
  • Objectives
    • Basic MR component
      • Participants obtain theoretical and applied knowledge of various aspects relating to MRI basics and of practical usage of MRI system in order to perform basic examinations
    • Basic neuro component
      • Participants complement and deepen their theoretical and state-of-the-art knowledge of several aspects relating to brain and spine imaging.
  • Aim
    • Basic MR component
      • Course includes both theoretical and practical components and provides a package that enables radiographers to handle basic MRI examinations
    • Basic Neuro component
      • Course includes both theoretical and practical components and a theoretical and practical explanation of state-of-the-art brain and spine protocols. Radiographers can handle basic brain and spine examinations and adapt basic parameters and protocols. The goal is to achieve the best image quality for various pathologies by using specific protocols and manipulating scan parameters.

The goal is to achieve the best image quality and timing for arterial and venous phases by using specific protocols and manipulating scan parameters
    • Basic Neuro component
      • Course includes both theoretical and practical components, and a theoretical and practical explanation of state-ofthe-art brain and spine protocols. Radiographers can handle basic brain and spine examinations and adapt basic parameters and protocols. The goal is to achieve the best image quality for various pathologies by using specific protocols and manipulating scan parameters.
