Is any preparation necessary?

Yes - you will need to fast for 8 hours before your appointment (You can drink water).
In addition, please bring with you:

• 
  The results and charts of any previous health Screening (Health MOTs), eye tests etc you have undergone.
• 
  The results and charts of any previous osteoporosis scans you have undergone.
• 
  Your glasses / contact lenses.

What will happen at my Health Screening (Health MOT)?

After checking in at the reception of our Diagnostic Healthcare clinic in Manchester (Altrincham), you will have your blood tests and urine analysis. After these tests have been undertaken you can eat and drink normally. Coffee, tea and other refreshments will be available. You will then undergo a series of scans and further tests. These will be fully explained on the day.


How will I understand the results and what may I need to do then?

Most of your Laboratory results will be available later on the same day of your Health Screening at Diagnostic Healthcare. We will arrange a second appointment for the same day or within a few days, at a date and time to suit you. At this appointment, our consultant will explain all of your test results and answer any questions you may have.
